The Lady Bobcats kept their red-hot streak alive, dismantling Fort Worth’s YWLA Lady Owls in a commanding 8-0 victory before stormy weather rolled in.
Extending their win streak to five, they controlled the match from start to finish, leading 5-0 at halftime and never looking back.
Offensive firepower was on full display, with Randee Slater (3), Sydney Chavez (3), Lily Chavez (1), Lexi Gracia (1), and Grace Klaerner (1) all finding the back of the net. Slater also earned Player of the Match honors for her standout performance.
Now 9-3-1 overall and 5-0 in district play, the Lady Bobcats sit atop the district standings and will hit the road this Friday, Feb. 14, at 8 PM to take on Carter-Riverside.
The Bobcat boys’ soccer team pulled off a gutsy win in a shootout thriller against Young Men’s Leadership Academy, despite the 2-2 scoreline in regulation. They sealed the deal in PKs, 3-1, marking their second straight victory.
Now sitting at 4-8 overall and 2-3 in district play, the Bobcats hold 4th place in district and will host Carter-Riverside this Friday at 8 PM in a pivotal home matchup.
