The Benbrook Lady Bobcats are moving on in the volleyball playoffs after defeating the Burkburnett Lady Bulldogs in four sets Thursday night in Chico, Texas, to claim the Bi-District Championship.
After a slow start, Benbrook took the first two sets before Burkburnett fought back to force a fourth. The Lady Bobcats answered, closing out the match to keep their postseason run alive.
Now comes a tougher test.
Benbrook (28-14) will face the Brock Lady Eagles (36-9) in the Area Round on Tuesday, November 3, at 6 p.m. at Aledo High School.
Brock enters the matchup riding a 14-game winning streak, including a three-set sweep of Big Spring in its playoff opener.
With a trip to the next round on the line, the Lady Bobcats are calling on Benbrook fans to pack the stands in Aledo and bring the same energy that has carried them this far.
