After nearly three decades of dedicated service to Fort Worth ISD, Karen Molinar is set to become the district’s new permanent superintendent on March 11.
The school board, which named her the lone finalist on February 18, will officially vote to confirm her in the role after a required 21-day waiting period.
Molinar has spent the past five months as interim superintendent, impressing trustees with her visionary leadership and deep roots in the community. Board President Roxanne Martinez praised Molinarโs achievements, highlighting a new strategic plan shaped by community input, stronger parent-teacher collaboration, and boosted confidence among district staff.
Molinar will take over from Angรฉlica Ramsey, who resigned following a brief and contentious two-year tenure. Looking forward, Molinarโs focus is on uniting parents, teachers, and the community to build brighter futures for every student.
