Rainy conditions are contributing to a major traffic backup after a semi truck and trailer jackknifed just after 3 p.m. Wednesday on northbound U.S. 377 near Stevens Drive, just before Benbrook Middle-High School.
The truck is blocking the far right northbound lane, bringing traffic in the area to a near standstill. Emergency responders and law enforcement are en route to the scene.
Based on initial reports, there do not appear to be any serious injuries, and the incident appears to involve only the semi truck and its trailer. While wet road conditions may have contributed to the crash, authorities will determine the cause as part of their investigation.
Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area, expect significant delays, and use alternate routes if possible.
