A major technology development is nearing construction just west of Benbrook, where Edged Energy is preparing another data center building at its Project Outpost campus.
State filings show plans for Outpost Building 2, a roughly 485,947-square-foot data center at 9720 Team Rockbrook Parkway in Fort Worth, near the southeast corner of Interstate 20 and RM 2871. The commercial construction project is estimated to cost $300 million.
Plans call for the primary data center, electrical rooms, administrative space, and related site and utility improvements. The facility is being developed to support high-density cloud computing and artificial intelligence workloads.
Construction is currently scheduled to begin Nov. 1, 2026, with completion targeted for April 1, 2028.
Building 2 is part of a much larger plan for the property. Project Outpost has room for four data center buildings, with two currently approved for construction. Each is expected to be about 450,000 square feet and can support about 100 megawatts. If all four are eventually built, the campus could reach roughly 400 MW of total capacity.
No construction timeline is currently known for the two additional potential buildings.
More information about the development is available at Project Outpost.
