Glanzer Near the Top After Day One at State Golf Tournament.

Benbrook’s Avery Glanzer is right in the mix after the opening round of the UIL 4A Girls State Golf Tournament.

The senior Bobcat and University of Texas Rio Grande Valley commit shot a 74 on day one, putting her tied for second place in the individual standings heading into the final round.

Glanzer, representing the Benbrook Lady Bobcats out of Region 1, sits just five strokes behind the tournament leader, Taylor’s Rylen Darter, after a strong opening day.

One round remains, and Glanzer is still very much within striking distance as she looks to close out her high school career with another memorable finish for Lady Bobcats golf.
