A powerful storm rolled through Fort Worth one week ago today on the morning of March 4th, leaving a dramatic mark on the city’s weather.
While the storm has mostly subsided in downtown, the area still feels its presence, especially with a striking lightning bolt captured by local photographer Brian Luenser at 5:41 a.m.
The incredible shot shows what appears to be twin lightning bolts but is likely one massive forked strike, with the top portion out of view. Luenser humorously notes the challenge of capturing the perfect shot, admitting that a 15mm lens would’ve been ideal for the framing.
Downtown Fort Worth received 0.73 inches of rain from the storm, adding to the dramatic impact of the early morning weather.
A beautiful and rare moment, thanks to Luenser for sharing this stunning photo.
