Benbrook Middle High School made a strong statement in Lubbock at the Region 1-5A UIL Wrestling Tournament, and the results are headed straight to the biggest stage of the season.

Three Bobcats are moving on to state competition after standout performances at regionals. Mac Shafer, Desmond Chambers, and Bailey Lott each earned their spot at the UIL Wrestling State Tournament, marking a proud moment for the program and the community behind it.

The achievement reflects months of early mornings, long practices, and quiet discipline and is another reminder that Benbrookโ€™s student-athletes continue to compete at a high level across the state. Long live the saying, “It is a great day to be a Bobcat wrestler!”

The UIL Wrestling State Tournament will take place Friday, February 13, and Saturday, February 14, 2026, at The Berry Center. All tickets will be sold online only. Fans may enter through Entrance 2; doors open to the public at 7:30 am.
