Benbrook Middle School UIL Team Dominates District Meet, Secures First Place.

BENBROOK, TX — Benbrook Middle School’s UIL academics team has done it again! The Bobcats brought home the first-place trophy at the district meet, racking up an impressive 920 points—leaving second-place Daggett Montessori far behind with 381 points.

The Bobcats’ stellar performance included a haul of 85 medals and ribbons, showcasing their talents across various subjects.

Standout performances included Caleb Koenig, who claimed first place in Calculator Applications, Mathematics, Chess Puzzles, and a strong finish in Number Sense. Gabriel Traska also shined with first-place wins in Science, Social Studies, and Editorial Writing for the sixth grade. Meanwhile, Noah Palmer dominated the seventh-grade Mathematics and Number Sense categories.

The team’s success was well-rounded, with students earning top spots in categories like Ready Writing, Dictionary Skills, Listening, Impromptu Speaking, and Maps, Charts, & Graphs. The Bobcats’ ability to excel in both STEM subjects and the arts highlights the depth of their academic skills.

Benbrook is buzzing with pride as these young scholars continue to prove that hard work and determination pay off. Congratulations to the Bobcats for their incredible achievements and for making their community proud!
