A new chapter in inclusive programming is beginning at the Benbrook Public Library.
Registration is now open for AAC Storytime, a monthly program designed for children who rely on augmentative and alternative communication. The sessions will be led by Laura Obuchowski, a local Speech Language Pathologist, with the goal of creating a welcoming space where every child can participate, connect, and be heard.
Programs like this matter. For families navigating communication challenges, finding spaces that understand and support their child’s needs can make all the difference. AAC Storytime aims to bridge that gap by blending literacy, community, and inclusive communication in one setting.
Families can register online at https://www.benbrooklibrary.org/event/aac-storytime-20624.
The Benbrook Public Library is located at 1065 Mercedes Street. For more information, visit benbrooklibrary.org, email reference@benbrooklibrary.org, or call 817-249-6632.
It is another example of how our local library continues to grow alongside the needs of the community it serves.
