AAC Storytime Creates Welcoming Space for Communication and Connection.

The Benbrook Public Library is continuing its efforts to create an inclusive space for families through a special monthly program designed for children and young adults who use alternative communication.

AAC Storytime will take place on Saturday, May 30th, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the library. The program welcomes participants ages 3 through 21 who use augmentative and alternative communication.

The hour-long session combines stories and interactive activities led by local speech language pathologist Laura Obuchowski. The program is designed to support AAC users and help families connect with others in the community who share similar communication experiences.

Registration is required to attend. Residents can learn more and sign up at https://www.benbrooklibrary.org/event/aac-storytime-20625.
