Western Hills Cougars Shine at District Track & Field Meet.

The Western Hills Cougars hit the track with determination at this week’s District Meet, delivering standout performances across multiple events.

Abby Moilan dominated the shot put, securing the title of District Champion, and also claimed second place in discus. Angel Smith sprinted to third place in the 400-meter dash, while EJ Jones grabbed second in the 100-meter dash.

The Cougars showed serious speed in the relays, with the 4×200 team of Michael Richmond, Justin Hurst, Brycen Foster, and EJ Jones finishing in second place. The 4×100 squad of Richmond, Devin Wheatley, Foster, and Jones also claimed a runner-up finish.

Michael Richmond added to the team’s podium finishes with third place in the varsity boys’ 200-meter race. In the hurdles, Robert Jones and Kyu Wilson made a strong showing—Jones took second in the 300-meter hurdles and fourth in the 110-meter hurdles, while Wilson finished third and second in those events, respectively.

With multiple top finishes, several Cougars are now advancing to the Area meet. Congratulations to all the athletes for their hard work and outstanding performances!
