BENBROOK, TX—It was a nail-biter in Brownwood as the Benbrook Bobcats boys’ soccer team left it all on the field in a grueling double-overtime showdown.
After a scoreless regulation and extra time, the match came down to a penalty shootout, where the Bobcats fell just short, 4-3. A hard-fought season comes to a close, but the team’s resilience was undeniable. Hats off to the Bobcats on an incredible year!
Meanwhile, the Lady Bobcats continue their dominance. In a tense Area Playoff matchup against Venus in Burleson, Lily Chavez delivered the game’s lone goal, earning Player of the Match honors in a 1-0 victory. The Lady Bobcats now boast a 20-3-1 record and are riding an impressive 16-game winning streak.
