The Benbrook Lady Bobcats soccer team has been on a tear this season, and their dominance continued Friday night as they clinched the district title with a commanding 10-0 shutout over the Dunbar Lady Wildcats.
From the opening whistle, Benbrook set the tone, heading into halftime with a 5-0 lead before piling on five more in the second half to secure the victory. The win caps off a perfect 14-0 district record and an 18-3-1 overall season, solidifying their spot in the playoffs.
Leading the offensive charge, Grace Klaerner, Sydney Chavez, and Olivia Zapata each found the back of the net twice, while Lily Chavez, Randee Slater, Lexi Garcia, and Belinda Martinez added a goal apiece. Meanwhile, a lockdown defensive effort preserved the clean sheet, with Zapata earning Player of the Match honors.

With the district title in the books, the Lady Bobcats now turn their focus to their bi-district playoff showdown against the Lake Worth Lady Bullfrogs this Friday, March 21, at 5 PM at Chisholm Trail Ranger Stadium. Lake Worth enters with a 10-6-4 overall record and a 3-4-3 district mark, while Benbrook carries a 14-game winning streak into the matchup.
