BENBROOK, TX — The Benbrook Lady Bobcats delivered a commanding performance Friday night, shutting out the Western Hills Cougars 7-0 to preserve their perfect district record.
From the first whistle, the Lady Bobcats set the pace, heading into halftime with a 4-0 lead and never looking back.
Lexi Garcia was unstoppable, netting a hat-trick with three goals, while Lily Chavez and Sydney Chavez each scored twice. Olivia Zapata added to the tally with a goal of her own.
On the defensive end, goalies Arianna Labue and Avery Bates kept the Cougars scoreless with the help of a solid backline featuring Leah Jimenez, Kira Cleveland, Brooke Moreno, Sofia Hernandez, Fiona Chan, and Jessica Anzaldua.
With this victory, the Lady Bobcats improve to 14-3-1 overall and 10-0 in district, holding firm to their first-place spot. Up next, they hit the road to face the Eastern Hills Lady Highlanders tomorrow at 8 PM.
