Benbrook Heritage Fest Takes Over Dutch Branch Park Saturday.

โ€ข

Saturday is shaping up to be one of those days when much of Benbrook ends up in the same place.

The 18th annual Benbrook Heritage Fest returns to Dutch Branch Park on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., bringing a full day of free family fun, live music, local performances and a few traditions that have become part of the festival itself.

The day begins with the Mayorโ€™s Welcome at 10 a.m., followed by Sallieโ€™s School of Dance and the always-entertaining Dog Costume Contest. From there, families can catch the Stick Horse Race, Legends of Texas Old West reenactments, Ballet Folklorico, the Corn Eating Contest, and Benbrook Middle School Cheer Squad.

Plenty of music will be there, too. Caleb Sutton & The High Stakes Band, Drew Garcia Music, ATJ & Regresso, The Goforth Band and Trey Moran are among Saturdayโ€™s performers. The new Wrangler Stage also gives families another place to catch entertainment, including storytime with the Benbrook Public Library and the Benbrook Middle School Choir.

At 6 p.m., the festival shifts into the evening with the Chuckwagon Dinner and Street Dance. Dinner tickets are still available by calling 817-249-6091. Pumpkins will also be available for purchase after 3 p.m.

And for anyone who wants to sneak in a little golf, stop by the Benbrook Par 3 & Range booth No. 37, next to the Benbrook YMCA, for a voucher for one free round.

Bring the family, grab a lawn chair, and make a day of it. A lot is happening Saturday, and chances are you will run into a few Benbrook neighbors while you are there.
