Westpark Elementary dads, grandpas, uncles, and father figures looking for an easy way to get involved at school have a great place to start next week.
Westpark PTA’s Wildcat Guard will host a Meet & Greet Thursday, Aug. 20, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Jakes in Benbrook. The casual gathering gives newcomers a chance to meet the group, ask questions and learn how they can take part during the school year.
Wildcat Guard brings men in the Westpark community together to support students and the school through activities including breakfasts, family nights, campouts and other events. There’s no expectation of a big time commitment. Whether someone can help occasionally or wants to become a regular volunteer, the group says there’s a place for them.
As a little bonus, the first 10 visitors at the Meet & Greet will receive a free Benbrook Par 3 mini-golf pass.
