The basketball season is still a few months away, but the Western Hills Cougars already have their road map for 2026-27.
The Cougars tip things off with home and away scrimmages against Bryan Adams and Northside before opening regular-season play Nov. 13 at home against South Hills.
The Cougars enter the new season looking to turn the page after finishing 8-20 overall and 4-7 in district play last year.
The schedule gives the Cougars plenty of opportunities to do just that, including non-district games and several December tournaments before district competition begins Dec. 15 against YMLA.
And don’t forget to circle Dec. 17 and Jan. 26. The Cougars and Bobcats will meet twice in district play, first at Benbrook and then at Western Hills.
The regular season runs through Feb. 16, with the Cougars scheduled to close at home against Carter-Riverside.
There’s plenty of basketball between now and then. For a Cougars team looking to climb the district standings, it all starts this November.
The full schedule is available through Western Hills Basketball on MaxPreps or the Western Hills schedule post on Facebook.
