It was a busy Thursday morning for Benbrook emergency crews, with three crashes reported within roughly two hours.

Just after 6 a.m., a vehicle reportedly struck a utility pole and overturned on Benbrook Boulevard (US 377 North) near Kenshire Drive, knocking out power to nearby residents and traffic signals along the U.S. 377 corridor as far north as Sproles Street.

Many of the businesses, like QuickTrip and 7-Eleven (near Walmart) were withouth power until 10:30 am. As of 11:40 am, the Oncor outage map still shows ~200 impacted.
In addition, just before 8 a.m., a 17-year-old driver reportedly experienced a seizure while driving near Montford Court and Westpark. His white Jeep Cherokee left the roadway and struck a vehicle and a home’s HVAC unit. Considering the trees and homes nearby, and that is was during middle and high school drop off hours, that one could have ended much worse.
Also, shortly after 8 a.m., crews responded again, this time to a two-vehicle crash blocking the roadway at Rolling Hills Drive and Trail Ridge Road near HighRidge Church and Rolling Hills Park.
All three incidents were reported through dispatch information on CrimeRadar.app. Drivers should use caution around the affected areas as investigations and cleanup continue.
Quite a morning in Benbrook. Thankfully, based on what has been reported so far, none of the three crashes appear to have resulted in a reported fatality.
