Benbrook’s 17th Annual Heritage Fest Promises a Full Day of Western Fun.

Benbrook is gearing up for its 17th Annual Heritage Fest on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Dutch Branch Park. From 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., this free, family-friendly event invites everyone to enjoy a lively day filled with classic western entertainment and plenty of activities.

Expect everything from mechanical bull riding and a petting zoo to mini-golf and hayrides. Food lovers can look forward to a chuckwagon dinner featuring chicken-fried steak, mashed potatoes, green beans, and homemade cobbler. Music will keep the energy high with performances by local favorites like the Benbrook High School Choir, Jeremy Powers Band, and headliner Tristan Roberson.

Competitions add an extra layer of excitement. The corn on the cob eating contest challenges anyone over 17 to consume 10 ears as quickly as possible for prizes and bragging rights. Children seven and under can participate in the stick horse race, showcasing their speed and creativity through costumes. There’s also a dog costume contest where furry friends strut their stuff for awards.

One of the standout moments will be Benbrook Lighted Par 3 & Range’s attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the largest golf ball pyramid. The stacking begins at 10 a.m. and concludes by 2 p.m., with the pyramid remaining in place throughout the festival. Visitors can sign one of the balls before noon to join the fun.

Beyond these highlights, the festival offers axe throwing, a corn maze, face painting, a pumpkin patch, sand art, train rides, and a community mural. For a touch of old west charm, The Legends of Texas will perform reenactments throughout the day.

Tickets for the chuckwagon dinner are $15 for adults and $8 for kids 12 and under. Space is limited, so we recommend making an early purchase.

For those interested in competing, registration closes September 1, and details are available on the city’s website. Vendor and sponsorship spots are also open, but limited.

This day at Dutch Branch Park promises something for everyone, making it a perfect chance for Benbrook residents to come together, celebrate heritage, and create new memories.
