Saddle up, Benbrook. The youngest wranglers in town are about to steal the show.
At this year’s Benbrook Heritage Fest, kids seven and under can join the Stick Horse Barrel Race, happening September 27 at Dutch Branch Park.
Whether dressed in full cowboy gear or riding in their everyday best, little racers will gallop through barrels for a chance to win prizes. Awards go to the fastest three in each age group and to the top three costumes.
It’s $5 to enter, and every participant walks away with a goodie bag. But don’t wait. You must be signed up by September 8 to compete.
