Western Hills’ New Turf Field Starting to Take Shape.

The look of Cougar football is getting a fresh upgrade this offseason, and Western Hills fans are already getting their first glimpse of what’s coming.

Western Hills High School Co-Athletic Coordinator and Head Football Coach Blake Moilan recently shared an update on the school’s new turf project, saying the field is “coming along nicely” as construction continues.

One of the standout features drawing early attention is the design itself, especially the new gold end zones and the updated Western Hills Cougars logo set against a dark green outline of the state of Texas at midfield.

For students, athletes, and longtime Cougar supporters, projects like this often represent a visible investment in school pride, Friday night traditions, and the next generation of athletes preparing to take the field.

As work continues, excitement is already building for the first kickoff on the new surface later this year.
