For Roberto Olono, the awards just keep coming.
The Benbrook soccer standout and academic achiever was honored again on Wednesday night during FC Dallas Youth Soccer’s Senior Class of 2026 celebration, where seniors were recognized on the field with commemorative scarves and scholarship presentations.

Among the night’s biggest honors, Olono received the FC Dallas All-Time Valuable Player of the Year award along with a $1,500 scholarship as he continues building an already impressive soccer and academic career.
The recognition adds to a milestone year for Olono, who recently earned a full-ride scholarship to Houston Christian University, where he plans to play soccer while pursuing a degree in Engineering Science.
His soccer journey is also set to go international. Olono has been offered the opportunity to play in Germany this summer, another major step for one of Benbrook’s rising young athletes.
From the classroom to the soccer field, Olono continues to represent his community well, blending talent, discipline, and opportunity into a future that keeps getting brighter.
