Before buying new gear for the fall season, Benbrook families may want to stop by the ballpark Saturday.
The Benbrook Youth Baseball & Softball Association is hosting a free Equipment Drive on Saturday, Sept. 5, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the concession stand.
Families can pick up gently used cleats, bags, equipment and uniform apparel at no cost. Those with outgrown or unused sports gear can also donate items during the drive.
It’s a simple way to pass along equipment another young athlete can use while helping keep the cost of playing ball a little more manageable for Benbrook families.
Commissioners and board members will also be there, giving families a chance to stop by, swap gear and meet some of the people behind BYBSA.
