Football season may still be months away, but Western Hills has already given fans a reason to start circling dates and making plans.
The Cougars’ 2026 schedule is set, offering a steady mix of rivalry games, district battles, and familiar Friday night traditions that bring the community together each fall.

The season begins with two scrimmages in August, starting at home against Atlas on August 14, followed by a road matchup at Trimble Tech on August 20. From there, the games begin to count. Western Hills opens the regular season at home on August 28 against Burkburnett, then heads into a neutral-site matchup with Pecos on September 4.
By mid-September, the rhythm of the season settles in. The Cougars return home to face North Side on September 11 before a short break, then host Dunbar on September 23. District play continues into October with matchups against Southwest, Eastern Hills, and Kennedale, leading into a key home game against Carter Riverside on October 23.
For Benbrook residents, one date will stand out. Western Hills travels across town to face the Benbrook Bobcats on October 30 at Clark Stadium. It is the kind of game that brings extra energy, familiar faces, and plenty of local pride.
The regular season wraps up on November 6 at home against Diamond Hill Jarvis, a night expected to carry both playoff implications and senior night emotion.
Kickoffs are set for the evening across the schedule, keeping the tradition of Friday night lights front and center. With home games spread across Farrington Field, Handley Field, and Clark Stadium, fans will have multiple chances to show up and support.
As summer approaches, the schedule offers a reminder that another season of community, competition, and connection is just around the corner.
