Benbrook Workshop Aims to Help Seniors Tackle College Essays Before Fall.

For many high school seniors, the college essay can feel like one of the hardest parts of the application process. A new summer workshop in Benbrook hopes to make that process a little less overwhelming.

Local college advisor Lizzy Ware of C3 Advising is offering a small-group “College Essay Intensive” this July for rising seniors preparing college applications.

The workshop will guide students through brainstorming meaningful essay topics, organizing personal stories, and drafting a polished personal statement with individualized feedback along the way. Sessions are intentionally capped at five students to allow for more personalized attention.

Ware brings a decade of college consulting experience and has previously worked with students through programs connected to the Fort Worth Library Foundation, Paschal High School, and independent coaching programs. She also has experience teaching history, college counseling, and AP Seminar.

The four-day intensive runs July 13 through July 16, with morning and evening session options available. Organizers say students will leave with a working draft of a personal statement and a stronger understanding of what colleges look for in admissions.

The workshop will take place in Benbrook, with the exact address provided after registration. Families interested in learning more can contact Lizzy Ware at or call (817) 229-0410.
