The Benbrook Lady Bobcats softball team kept its momentum going Tuesday night, extending its winning streak to three games with a 16-5 district win over the Southwest Lady Raiders.

The evening began with a slight delay as Southwest arrived late due to traffic. During that time and before the first pitch, the Lady Bobcats paused to recognize local umpires for their dedication and often-overlooked role in keeping high school sports safe and fair.

Esperanza Garza drew a walk to bring in a run, Natalya Muzquiz added an RBI single, and Mya Vasquez followed with a two-run single to push the Lady Bobcats ahead 4-0.
