Slippery Spill Closes Major Cresson Intersection.

If you are heading through Cresson, plan for a detour.

The Cresson Volunteer Fire Department reports that the intersection at US 377 Business and SH 171 is currently closed due to a very slippery fluid spill on the roadway. Traffic on US 377 is being directed to remain on the bypass, while SH 171 drivers are being rerouted through nearby side streets.

Officials have not yet released details about the source of the spill or how long the closure will remain in place. Crews are working to address the hazard and restore safe travel conditions.
