Behind every early morning, packed backpack, and hard school day is a teacher helping hold it all together.
Next week, the Benbrook Elementary PTA is making sure those teachers feel seen.
Benbrook Elementary will celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week from May 4 through May 8 with themed lunches, treats, gift bags, and daily surprises designed to thank staff members for the work they pour into students every day.
The week kicks off Monday with “Fueled for Success,” featuring a trail mix bar and Sonic drinks. Tuesday brings a taco lunch sponsored by TotalCare, followed by a “Self Care Day” on Wednesday with relaxation treats for teachers needing a midweek recharge.
Thursday’s theme, “You Make a Difference,” includes a Cane’s lunch, while Friday wraps things up with gift bags and the reminder that teachers truly are “a gift to our school.”
Parents are also encouraged to join in throughout the week with simple gestures like handwritten notes, favorite snacks, small self-care items, gift cards, or classroom treats.
At a time when teachers often carry far more than lesson plans, small acts of appreciation can go a long way. And around Benbrook Elementary next week, gratitude will be on full display.
