Westpark Elementary Welcomes New Assistant Principal.

As students and families prepare for a new school year, Westpark Elementary is welcoming a familiar face to its leadership team.

The Westpark Wildcats PTA recently introduced Meredith Andersen as the school’s new assistant principal. Andersen brings more than a decade of experience in Fort Worth ISD and a passion for building strong relationships with students, staff, and families.

In a letter to the Westpark community, Andersen shared her commitment to creating a school environment where students feel supported, valued, and encouraged to grow. She emphasized the importance of collaboration, high expectations, and helping every child reach their full potential.

Andersen also has strong ties to the local community. A Benbrook resident and proud Benbrook Middle-High School parent, she said she is grateful for the opportunity to join the Westpark family and looks forward to supporting students, teachers, and families in the year ahead.

Outside of education, Andersen enjoys spending time with her family, reading, hiking, taking road trips, and working on creative projects.

For Westpark families, the introduction marks the beginning of a new chapter with a leader focused on connection, encouragement, and student success. As the new school year approaches, the Wildcats community is already extending a warm Benbrook welcome.
