Hallways at Benbrook Middle-High School are carrying a little extra gratitude this week as students, parents, staff, and community partners celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week.
Throughout the week, teachers are being treated to drinks, breakfast, lunch, and other small surprises to recognize the work they put into students every day. Local businesses and organizations, including 7 Brew Coffee, Rosa’s Café, the BMHS Athletic Booster Club, and the PTA, are supporting the effort.
School leaders shared that while one week is dedicated to appreciation, the impact teachers make reaches far beyond a few days on the calendar.
Administrators thanked teachers for the “time, sweat, tears, effort, and sacrifice” they invest in students and the profession, adding that their work does not go unnoticed by the community they serve.
The week’s events are designed to give teachers a few moments of encouragement during one of the busiest stretches of the school year while reminding them how valued they are across the Benbrook community.
