Early Morning Construction Noise Sparks Frustration in Trinity Estates.

Residents of Benbrook’s Trinity Estates community woke to an unwelcome alarm this week when heavy construction equipment reportedly started up around 5 a.m., far earlier than city regulations allow. The disturbance, which some residents said was loud enough to rattle windows and kick up clouds of dust, quickly became a hot topic among neighbors online.

Several residents say they called 911 to report the early activity, but were frustrated when no officers arrived while the equipment was operating. Security footage later showed a truck entering the construction site just after 5 a.m., unloading materials for nearly an hour before leaving around 5:57 a.m. A Benbrook police vehicle passed by shortly after, narrowly missing the crew.

While city ordinances typically prohibit construction noise before 7 a.m., residents say this is not the first time early morning work has disrupted the neighborhood. Many expressed concern over dust, air quality, and the city’s enforcement of local regulations.

Community members have tagged City Council candidates Cameron Potter (Place 5) and Keith Tiner (Place 7) in hopes of bringing greater attention to the ongoing issue, though neither has yet responded publicly.

Residents say they plan to follow up with city officials to ensure accountability and stricter oversight moving forward.
