Benbrook resident Cameron Potter has officially entered the race for Benbrook City Council, Place 5, bringing a platform centered on community service, integrity, and prioritizing resident input.
A familiar face in local service, Potter has spent years contributing to city growth and neighborhood improvement through his work on the Zoning Board of Appeals and the Parks and Recreation Board. His efforts have included helping enhance Dutch Branch Park and advocating for balanced development that supports both long-time residents and newer neighborhoods.
Professionally, Potter has built a career in human resources and leadership development, where collaboration, trust-building, and navigating complex challenges are daily work. He says those same principles guide his approach to city leadership.
Potterโs priorities include strengthening Benbrookโs small-town character while attracting new businesses, improving safe access to Benbrook Lake, and supporting the cityโs parks, sports complexes, and local economy. Above all, he emphasizes transparent communication and decision-making that keeps residentsโ interests at the forefront.
