On February 27, school colors take a back seat to something bigger.
Western Hills High School is hosting Women in Sports Night, a community celebration of female athletes past, present, and future. Whether you cheer for the Cougars or the Bobcats, the message is simple. This is about a love for our Benbrook community.
Junior varsity kicks off at 6:00 pm, followed by varsity at 7:30 pm.
At 7:15 pm, young girls from the community are invited onto the field to be recognized and take photos with the Lady Cougars and Lady Bobcats. It is a chance for the next generation to see what is possible when hard work meets opportunity.
Events like this go beyond the scoreboard and deep into all of our hearts. They highlight the dedication of student athletes who balance classrooms and competition, and they remind younger players that there is a place for them here.
If there was ever a night to pack the stands, this is it. Benbrook pride looks good in every jersey.
