Several Western Hills High School theatre students are being recognized for their work on stage and behind the scenes following the recent UIL competition.
Students involved in the school’s UIL production of Dark Road received individual honors for their performances and technical contributions. Chris Glenn and Isabelle Woods were recognized for their acting, while Donte Richards was recognized for sound technology.
The awards highlight the preparation and teamwork that go into a UIL theatre production. Students spend weeks rehearsing, learning technical cues, and working together to bring a complex stage performance to life.
The Western Hills Theatre Department plans to host a public performance of Dark Road after Spring Break. Final details on the date and time will be shared once they are confirmed.
The department is also preparing for another production later this spring. Scattered Writings, the school’s adaptation of Dracula, is scheduled to premiere in May.
