Western Hills Cougars Look to Bounce Back After Tough Loss to Springtown.

It was a long night on the road for the Western Hills Cougars as they fell 62–0 to the Springtown Porcupines on Thursday. Facing one of the top-ranked teams in Texas high school football, the Cougars found themselves outmatched from start to finish.

Springtown entered the matchup ranked No. 94 in the state, while Western Hills came in at No. 879, a gap that showed on the scoreboard. Despite the tough loss, the Cougars remain focused on learning from the experience and regaining their rhythm.

Now 2–5 on the season and 1–3 in district play, Western Hills sits fifth in district standings. But the team isn’t backing down. With a chance to turn things around, the Cougars are preparing to take on the Southwest Raiders at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
