After a record-breaking 76-6 Homecoming win just two weeks ago, the Western Hills Cougars hit a rough patch Friday night against a red-hot Decatur team, falling 70-7.
The Cougars found themselves in a tough spot early, trailing 49-0 at halftime, as Decatur’s offense dominated from kickoff to closing whistle. Now 2-4 on the season and 1-2 in district play, the Cougars sit fourth in the standings but have plenty of fight left in them.
They’ll look to regroup and reclaim their winning stride when they host the Springtown Porcupines this Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Cougar fans are encouraged to pack the stands, bring their pride, and help lift the team back into the win column.
