A familiar story is getting a fresh take on stage at Western Hills High School, where students are preparing to perform Scattered Writings, an original adaptation inspired by Dracula.
At the center of the production is Harley Davidson, stepping into the role of Count Dracula. In this reimagined version, the story follows the Count as he holds Jonathan Harker captive and sets his sights on London, heightening suspense and tension on stage. Those involved in the production describe Harley’s performance as one that leans into the character’s mystery and intensity, giving audiences a glimpse of the darker side of the classic tale.
The show runs May 9 and May 10, with performances beginning at 2:00 p.m. and doors opening at 1:30 p.m. Tickets are set at $5, and the production runs about 50 minutes, making it an easy addition to weekend plans.
For families looking for something local and engaging, the timing lines up well with Mother’s Day weekend. It offers a chance to support student talent while enjoying a live performance close to home.
In a community where school events often bring people together, this production is another opportunity to show up, take a seat, and see what students have been working to create.
