Benbrook Orchestra Students Bring Home State Medals.

It was a big day for the Benbrook Middle-High School orchestra program as several students returned from state competition with top honors and medals.

Leading the way were gold medal performances from Miguel Rosales, who earned a solo gold medal for the second straight year, along with Aiden Yun and Jeffrey Lane for their solo performances.

Students also found success in group competitions, with Fiona Chan and Aiden Yun winning gold for duet performance, while Magnolia Peterson, Jack Gentry, and Jeffrey Lane earned gold as a trio.

Skylar Sosropartono also joined the orchestra for the day and brought home a silver medal for her piano solo performance.

Program leaders praised the students for the dedication and preparation that led to another strong showing at the state level, while also recognizing Ms. Iryna Simoneaux for her six years serving as the orchestra’s pianist.

For many families, the accomplishments reflected not only musical talent but also the hours of practice and teamwork behind every performance.
