BENBROOK, TX — As Western Hills High School prepares for its upcoming theatre production, one student is helping set the tone for a story rooted in mystery and depth.
Jayden Lam takes on the role of the Inn Keeper in Dracula, Scattered Writings, bringing a steady, grounded presence to a character designed to guide others through the unknown. Described as wise and practical, the role serves as an anchor within the student-led adaptation, offering balance to a story that leans into tension and suspense.
The production is part of Western Hills’ ongoing effort to showcase student creativity through original work, giving performers space to interpret classic material in new ways while developing their craft on stage.
Scattered Writings will be performed at the Julia Worthington Black Box Theatre over Mother’s Day weekend, inviting the community to support local students and experience the work firsthand.
For many of these students, the stage is more than a performance. It is where confidence grows, skills sharpen, and stories begin to feel real, both for those acting and those watching.
