September brings another full calendar to the Benbrook Senior Activity Center, with plenty of reasons to stop by for a game, a meal or simply some time with friends.
Regular weekday activities include Hand & Foot, Mah Jongg, Canasta, Bridge, Dominos, Mexican Train, “42,” Pegs & Jokers and other games throughout the month.
Several special events are also planned. Birthday Bingo with senior healthcare advisor Maleah Ensey is set for Sept. 2, followed by an evening Bingo Night with Holly Williams of Brookdale Tanglewood Oaks on Sept. 4. Dinner that evening will be provided by Barbara Young of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices and Mike Smith of Custom Fit Insurance & Estate Planning.
Other September highlights include a Sept. 9 field trip to Ginger Brown’s, Lions Club activities on Sept. 10, rock painting on Sept. 16, and a Dine & Unwind outing at Rio Mambo on Sept. 23.
The center will be closed Sept. 7 for Labor Day.
The Benbrook Senior Activity Center is located at 911 Winscott Road. Hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday. For more information, call 817-249-6093.
