Think the Benbrook Senior Activity Center is just for “senior citizens?” Think again.
If you’re 50 or older, you’ll find a welcoming place to stay active, meet new friends, and enjoy everything from card games and dominoes to bingo, crafts, and group outings.
The Benbrook Senior Citizens Center, located inside Benbrook City Hall, has released its August calendar packed with weekly activities and special events.
Highlights this month include:
- Aug. 5: Birthday Bingo at 11:30 a.m.
- Aug. 7: Friday Night Bingo from 6 to 8:30 p.m. with dinner provided. The center will also close at 11:30 a.m. that day.
- Aug. 12: Sunshine Rock Painting at 11:30 a.m.
- Aug. 13: Mexican Train Dominoes at the Benbrook Public Library from noon to 3:30 p.m. The center will close at 11:30 a.m.
- Aug. 22: Dine & Unwind at Rio Mambo in Fort Worth at 3 p.m.
Regular weekly favorites include Bridge, Canasta, Hand and Foot, MahJongg, Mexican Train Dominoes, Pegs and Jokers, and more.
The center is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Whether you’re looking for a new hobby, friendly competition, or simply a place to connect with others, the Benbrook Senior Citizens Center offers plenty of reasons to stop by this August.
