Property Tax Concerns Raised Over TAD Valuations.

Questions are being raised about how property values were handled in Tarrant County, and many homeowners may not even realize they were affected.

Chandler Crouch, a local real estate broker, says internal data from the Tarrant Appraisal District shows more than 190,000 homes may have been valued higher than they should have been. According to Crouch, those homeowners were not directly notified, leaving many unaware of potential discrepancies.

The concern stems from how a recent property tax freeze was applied. Crouch says the approach led to uneven outcomes, with some homeowners seeing benefits while others saw higher valuations than expected.

He has released a video breaking down what he found, including how homeowners can check their property values and what steps they can take if something looks off.

The issue may not be limited to one round of valuations. Similar discussions are expected to continue locally, and state leaders have signaled interest in expanding related policies across Texas.
