September 18 is fast approaching this week, and with it comes one of the biggest days of generosity in the country: North Texas Giving Day.
Now in its 17th year, this event has grown into the nation’s largest community-wide giving movement, supporting more than 3,000 nonprofit organizations across 20 counties. From animal rescues and veteran services to youth programs and the arts, there is a cause for everyone to rally behind.
Early giving opened August 28, but today marks the main event. Donors can visit NorthTexasGivingDay.org to search for nonprofits, learn about their missions, and make a contribution. Many local companies also match donations, stretching the impact even further.
The numbers speak volumes: since its start, North Texas Giving Day has directed more than $634 million into local communities. In 2024 alone, the event raised over $70 million for 3,200 nonprofits.
