The National Weather Service (NWS) has forecasted the following weather for Benbrook:
Unsettled Weather Ahead; Showers, Thunderstorms, and Sun Expected
Today, stay prepared for a chance of weather taking a wet turn. There’s a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly developing after 1pm. The skies will remain mostly cloudy, with highs reaching near 85°F. A gentle south-southeast breeze of 5-10 mph will keep the air moving.
As night falls, the chance of showers and thunderstorms increases to 50%, with temperatures dipping to around 70°F. New rainfall amounts could vary between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except in thunderstorms where higher amounts are possible.
Weekend Weather: More Rain, Then Sunshine
On Saturday, thunderstorms could continue up until midday, with the chance for rain becoming more likely between 10am and 1pm. However, the clouds will slowly clear out, revealing mostly sunny skies with temperatures around 83°F. Rainfall could again vary between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except during thunderstorms.
Sunday brings another chance of showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 1pm, followed by a lower chance of precipitation after 1pm. The day will be partly sunny, with high temperatures near 87°F.
Early Week Forecast: Clear Skies and Rising Temperatures
By Monday, expect mostly sunny skies with a high near 92°F. The trend continues into Tuesday and Wednesday with sunny skies and highs in the low 90s. Nights will be mostly clear with lows around 75-76°F. Come Thursday, the temperature will climb to a high near 94°F under sunny skies. South winds of 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph, will be common throughout these days.
