Library After Dark Invites Adults to Make a Glorious Mess at Bad Art Night.

The Benbrook Public Library is giving perfection a night off and inviting adults to embrace creativity at its most chaotic with Library After Dark: Bad Art Night.

Happening Friday, February 13, 2026, from 7 to 9:30 pm, this adults-only evening is built around one simple idea: make the worst art possible. Clashing colors, odd proportions, and ideas that probably should not work are all welcome. There are no rules, no judging, and no pressure to impress anyone. The uglier the result, the better the experience.

The library will provide all the art supplies needed for the night, from paint to glue and everything in between. Guests are encouraged to relax, experiment freely, and have fun. A five-dollar donation helps cover refreshments, and outside food is welcome. Guests may also bring their own adult beverages. While registration is not required, RSVPs are appreciated to help staff plan food quantities. Attendance is limited to adults ages 21 and over.

The Benbrook Public Library is located at 1065 Mercedes St in Benbrook. For more information, visit https://www.benbrooklibrary.org, email reference@benbrooklibrary.org, or call 817-249-6632.

For one night, art does not have to be good. It just has to be fun.
