Benbrook residents are invited to trade the quiet stacks for laughs, trivia, and a little late-night fun as the Benbrook Public Library hosts a Golden Girls-themed Library After Dark event celebrating 40 years of the beloved TV classic.
The evening is designed for adults who grew up with Dorothy’s sharp wit, Blanche’s flair, Rose’s stories, and Sophia’s wisdom. Guests can expect themed trivia, BINGO, a costume contest, and plenty of cheesecake to keep the night sweet. Costumes are encouraged, whether you come dressed as your favorite Golden Girl or one of the guys who wandered through the show over the years.
Library After Dark is a 21-and-up BYOB event, giving guests the chance to bring their favorite adult beverage while enjoying games, prizes, and refreshments. A five-dollar cover helps support the event and includes snacks for the night. Registration is optional, but signing up helps staff plan for food and seating.
The celebration takes place at the Benbrook Public Library, located at 1065 Mercedes Street in Benbrook. For full event details or to learn more about upcoming programs, visit https://www.benbrooklibrary.org, email reference@benbrooklibrary.org, or call 817-249-6632.
It is a chance to gather with friends, relive a little television history, and enjoy one of the library’s most popular after-hours traditions.
