At Clark Stadium this week, Benbrook Middle-High School athletes showed up ready to compete, and the girls throwers made sure their presence was felt.
Lux Perez led the group with a district championship in discus, reaching 91 feet, 11 inches. She also added a second-place finish in shot put with a throw of 29 feet, 5 inches, putting together one of the strongest overall performances for Benbrook at the meet.
Teammate Addison Bowden added to the momentum with a second-place finish in discus, helping the Lady Bobcats bring home multiple podium finishes in the field events.
With district behind them, the focus now shifts to the Area Track Meet, where they will look to carry that same energy into the next round of competition.
