If you noticed Baskin-Robbins umbrellas outside the Jimmy John’s location on Benbrook Boulevard recently, your eyes were not playing tricks on you.
The restaurant is currently remodeling to add a new Baskin-Robbins component to the location, and while construction is underway, the business remains open through drive-thru service only.
Earlier this year, Benbrook Life first reported that the sandwich shop would soon pair subs with ice cream as part of the upcoming renovation project.
According to state construction documents, work officially began on April 6 and is expected to be completed by May 29, barring delays. The estimated cost of the project is listed at $200,000, with Icon Architects, Inc. serving as the design firm.
The addition is expected to give residents another dessert option along Benbrook Boulevard while continuing Jimmy John’s existing operations at the site.
Residents wanting more details about the project can contact Michelle Wilcox by phone at 817-249-6064.
Additional project information is also available through Benbrook at a Glance: The Real Dirt.
