After eight years at its longtime location near Benbrook, Defender Outdoors Clay Sports Ranch has closed one chapter and is preparing to open another.
The team recently said goodbye to its original facility, thanking customers for the friendships, memories, and years spent on the range. Many longtime shooters shared their own reflections, recalling everything from unforgettable tournaments to lifelong friendships formed over the years.
While the original range has closed, excitement is already building for what’s next.
In a three-part behind-the-scenes video series, Defender Outdoors is offering an early look at its new home, including the check-in card room, a spacious event pavilion, and other features that will soon welcome shooters from across North Texas.

Then, beginning July 29, the ranch will kick off its four-week 2026 Dove Warm-Up Sporting Clays League, designed to help hunters sharpen their skills ahead of dove season.
